Psych Tigers is a four-piece, psych-pop band from Christchurch, New Zealand made up of vocalist/guitarist Sam Perry, bassist Steven Marr, Drummer Todd Williamson and Synth player Matt Gunn. mid-2011 they released their debut EP, described by NZ Musician as Adventurous and very refreshing it takes inspiration from the pop styling’s of everyone from The Beach Boys to Sonic Youth; the EP’s sound is made up of aggressive guitars adorned with fluttering synths and 60’s-esque pop melodies.
